I am a lawyer practicing in Delhi. I write things down because it is the only way I know how to understand them.
Before law school I spent a lot of time on trains going to places I had no real reason to visit, eating food that had no business tasting as good as it did, and talking to people who had no reason to talk to me. Somehow they always did. I still do not fully understand that and I find it worth writing about.
The writing here covers a few different territories. Essays when something needs a proper argument. Poetry when it does not. Travel notes from trips that left a mark. Law notes because I practice law and it turns out the notes are actually useful to other people, which surprised me more than anyone.
I do not update on a schedule. I write when something is worth writing.
One thing I will defend forever: you should always order the spiciest thing on the menu. The worst case is a story. The best case is a revelation.
